Cross wrench, a hand tool that uses the principle of leverage to turn bolts, screws, nuts, and other openings or sockets where threads hold bolts or nuts.
The cross wrench is usually formed with a clamping handle at one or both ends of the handle to apply an external force to the handle to twist the bolt or nut to hold the opening or sleeve hole of the bolt or nut. When in use, an external force is applied to the shank in the direction of thread rotation, so that the bolt or nut can be twisted.
