Tire repairs include external and internal repairs
External supplements:
Generally speaking, the most common method of tire repair is external repair. Since external repair does not require disassembly of the tire and can be performed directly on the vehicle, it saves man-hours and wages and the charge is also relatively cheap. External repair means inserting a tire patch, commonly known as "spicy strip", into the punctured area. You must use a tool to slightly expand the punctured area, and then insert the tire patch to prevent side leakage.
Although external patching can quickly complete the tire repair, the quality of the tire patching strip is also very important. Otherwise, under long-term use, the tire patching strip will age or be exposed to external force, and it is likely to have some slight air leakage or cause the tire patching to be damaged. The rubber strip pops out causing air leakage.
Internal supplement:
Compared with external patching, internal patching must separate the tire frame. During construction, the inside of the tire body must be polished first, and a tire patch (or mushroom nail) must be affixed with vulcanizing agent, and at the same time, it must be applied around the tire patch. Apply tire repair glue, and then use a tool to smooth it out and make it dense. Generally speaking, internal repair is more reliable than external repair, but it also takes more man-hours and processes. If you add in the balance of the tire after repair, the labor cost will naturally be more expensive.
