Working principle of tpms valve
When the air pressure in a tire is reduced, the rolling radius of that wheel will become smaller, causing it to spin faster than other wheels. By comparing the speed differences between tires, the purpose of monitoring tire pressure is achieved.
The indirect tire warning system TPMS actually relies on calculating the rolling radius of the tire to monitor the air pressure; the direct tire pressure monitoring system TPMS directly replaces the valve with the sensor in the original vehicle's valve and uses the induction chip in the sensor. It senses subtle changes in tire pressure and temperature when the tire is at rest and in motion, converts the electrical signal into a wireless radio frequency signal, and uses an independent channel transmitter to transmit it to the receiver, so that the car owner can Know the tire pressure and temperature of the car's tires.
Nowadays, all direct tire pressure monitoring systems are used, and indirect tire pressure monitoring systems have basically been eliminated. Only a small number of imported cars produced in 2006 are equipped with indirect tire pressure monitoring systems, such as Magotan, Honor and other models.
The tire pressure monitoring system is generally installed on the rim. It senses the air pressure in the tire through a built-in sensor, converts the air pressure signal into an electrical signal, transmits the signal to the receiver through a wireless transmitter, and displays various data changes or changes on the display. Through beeps and other forms, the driver can inflate or deflate the tires in a timely manner according to the displayed data. If leakage is found, it can be dealt with in a timely manner, so that major accidents can be resolved in a small way.
